QUBICON AG combines profound expertise from two disciplines – bioprocessing and software development. Our mission is to innovate bioprocessing by providing the best possible software service to our customers.
QUBICON AG originated from a business initiative of Bilfinger Life Science GmbH, which began in Vienna in 2015 in order to tackle the challenges of quality-by-design application in biotechnological processes.
Soon it became clear that a modern, intuitive software with a centralized data platform and advanced control capabilities was required. Since there was no solution meeting this need, we decided to create our own innovative software platform together with software experts from InterFace AG in 2018. Since 2021 QUBICON AG is an independent company, and our software is used by industry clients and leading European life-science universities.

Gerald Striedner is Professor at the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, where he heads the Institute of Bioprocess Science and Technology. He specializes in the implementation of PAT/QbD concepts and advanced process control strategies in cell culture processes using bacterial, animal and insect cell lines for the production of different biomolecules for various applications in biotechnology.
Gerald Berghammer is Product Manager at Bilfinger Life Science GmbH. He has a proven track record in key leadership of Business and R&D units. He focuses on biopharmaceutical innovation, trends, and strategy and has over 25 years of experience in the realization of industrial biopharma production plants.
